You’ve never dealt with this particular transfer company before, and no one from Traveluxe is immediately available to help. What do you do?

Travel advising isn't always a 9-to-5 business. Clients may be traveling, suppliers may need a response, and opportunities can move quickly. Which best describes your relationship with your phone and email?

I’m very connected. I naturally see texts, emails, and notifications throughout the day and usually respond quickly.

I check frequently. I’m generally easy to reach throughout the day, although there may be periods when I’m unavailable.

I’m intentional about checking. I typically check messages several times a day at designated times.

I prefer clear work hours. I generally respond to messages during the hours I’ve set aside for work.

I try to disconnect when I’m not working. I prefer not to monitor messages outside of scheduled work time.

Tell us about a time something went seriously wrong at work or in your personal life and other people were relying on you to figure it out. What happened, and what did you do?

Firsthand travel experience is an important part of becoming a knowledgeable advisor. How much flexibility do you realistically have to travel for resort visits, familiarization trips, conferences or personal research?

Traveluxe advisors may have opportunities to attend resort visits, familiarization trips, conferences, ship inspections and other industry events. These opportunities are often advisor-only, meaning spouses, children, friends or other guests cannot attend. How comfortable are you traveling on your own?

Very comfortable. I enjoy traveling independently and would be excited to take advantage of these opportunities.

Comfortable. Traveling alone isn't something I do often, but I would have no problem doing it.

Somewhat comfortable. I could travel alone occasionally, depending on the destination and circumstances.
